Irbesartan

Irbesartan is in a class of drugs called angiotensin II receptor antagonists.

Irbesartan prevents the constriction (narrowing) of blood vessels (veins and arteries).

Irbesartan is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and diabetic nephropathy (kidney disease caused by diabetes).
