Indomethacin

Indocin, Generic Indocin, Indomethacin is in a class of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body.

Indocin, Generic Indocin, Indomethacin is used to reduce the pain, inflammation, and stiffness caused by many conditions, such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, ankylosing spondylitis, tendinitis, and bursitis.

Indocin, Generic Indocin, Indomethacin may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Take Indocin, Generic Indocin, Indomethacin exactly as directed by your doctor.

Do not break, crush, or chew the sustained-release formulations of Indocin, Generic Indocin, Indomethacin (e.g. Indocin SR).

Swallow them whole.
