Why Loratadine?

Human histamine skin wheal studies following single and repeated 10 mg oral doses of loratadine have shown that the drug exhibits an antihistaminic effect beginning within 1 to 3 hours, reaching a maximum at 8 to 12 hours, and lasting in excess of 24 hours.

How should you take Loratadine?

Adults and children 6 years of age and over: The recommended dose of Loratadina is one 10 mg tablet or reditab, or 2 teaspoon fuls (10 mg) of syrup once daily. Children 2 to 5 years of age: The recommended dose of Loratadina Syrup is 5 mg (1 teaspoonful) once daily.

What side effects may occur?

Loratadine may cause side effects as: * headache * dry mouth * nosebleed * sore throat * mouth sores * difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep * nervousness * weakness * stomach pain * diarrhea * red or itchy eyes

Why should Loratadine?

Use caution when driving, operating machinery, or performing other hazardous activities. Although unlikely, Loratadine may cause dizziness or drowsiness. If you experience dizziness or drowsiness, avoid these activities.
