Mild to serious side effects may be noticed by patients using this medication. The minor adverse reactions that may be experienced are as follows: nausea, stomach pains, vomiting, headaches, a feeling of tiredness, or a change in how body fat is located or shaped. Serious side effects that can warrant medical intervention include severe fevers, jaundice, clay-colored stools, darkened urine, new infections, or blistering skin rashes. As with any pharmaceutical medication, there is also a risk of an allergic reaction. A patient with an allergy to the medication will exhibit the following signs: a tingling sensation, difficulties breathing, muscle weakness, skin rashes, sores in the mouth, swelling of the face, or pain in the patient's muscles or joints. In cases of an allergic reaction, emergency personnel should be alerted immediately.
