While taking this drug, some users have experienced higher frequency of depression or thoughts about suicide. A patient who has this specific side effect should report it to their local physician as well as any of the following serious reactions: easy bruising or bleeding, skin rashes, tenderness of the gums, difficulty in speaking, tremors, jaundice, hallucinations, coordination impairment, confusion, pronounced hunger or thirst, loss of appetite, swollen glands, frequent or discolored urination, the development of facial tics, or a change in the shape of the face or lips. This medication may also produce the following non-serious side effects: dizziness, vomiting, nausea, constipation, joint pain, insomnia, itching, headaches, and increased nervousness. Patients with an Asian background are at risk to develop a pronounced skin reaction to this medication.
