There are very few side effects that are reported by patients who have been under administration of this drug. The most common side effects are minor and include nausea, excessive flatulence, headaches vomiting, epigastric pain, dizziness, diarrhea, or a general pronounced feeling of malaise. Hypersensitivity or moniliasis may result with roxithromycin use and can be characterized when a patient exhibits the following issues: pruritus, skin rashes, candidiasis, angiodema, or urticaria. In addition, an elevation of serum tranaminases has been reported by elderly patients.
