Scars For Life: To Share Or Not To Share

Bad things happen. It is important to acknowledge such a fact because life is made of both happy and unhappy events; for some of us, life seems to be more about the latter and less about the first. Anyone has life scars. Although it may be difficult, sharing traumatic experiences can help you cope better with your suffering. Particularly men do not seem to handle very well this sharing issue; therefore, they are less likely to get over them. Communication is extremely important; though hurtful, dealing with these scars can help you find the right path in life and in a relationship.

A new relationship means a new beginning; as with all fresh starts, it is best to come clean before complications arise. Sharing painful experience is not an easy task. Talking with your partner can help both you and your relationship. However, for most men, talking is a big step they are often afraid to take. Whereas some would advise you to come clean as soon as possible, revealing all things past should be a gradual process that goes hand in hand with trust and growth.

Improve your communication skills and get to really know the person next to you. Only after that you can truly trust her and you may bring up your deepest secrets. Though less secrets at the beginning of the relationship might seem to provide a smoother path, dealing with tons of stuff before the relationship is strong can be counterproductive. Men often struggle with insecurities like taking generic Viagra for ED, penis size, performance in bed, being able to deliver financially and emotionally and many more.

Behind secure man facades, lie tons of insecure men that wonder whether they are good enough, strong enough, handsome enough, smart enough, and successful enough. Manhood and manliness is something lots of men are constantly questioned and challenged about. Society, it seems, has made a hobby out of yanking men’s manliness chain. Is that the reason for the constant reference to penis size? Not relevant; what is important here is determining the problem behind a current situation.

Why is it that men have such a hard time communicating their feelings and exposing their past? Sharing intimate issues is difficult for men for a number of reasons. First, men fear what their partner will think of them when an issue is brought up. And bringing it up is an issue on its own.Taken from experience, there is never a time to bring up life scars, so you have to make time. Trust and learning how to communicate with your new partner are keys to set the base of a solid relationship. No matter what the issue at hand is, dealing with it as a couple might help you deal with it as an individual as well. The upper hand here is you have someone to help you cope and overcome whatever is troubling you.
