Having to live a lonely life is not easy. And yet many individuals seem to have no friends when they need them. No matter the cause of this type of situations, some people found in them an opportunity to make some money. Whether brostitution is moral or not, it is still a matter to debate. Read more about this subject and how some people offer their friendship for material gains.

According to Urban Dictionary, a brostitute is an individual who sells his friendship for money or other material purposes. Brostitutes are often the companions of those who can afford paying for them; making the latter feel less lonely is the main characteristic included in the “job description” of a brostitute. There is nothing sexual about this so-called brostitution; the job is all fun and games without any of the ‘back’ pain. However, some may see brostitution as a form of prostitution, but they are never to be mistaken one as the other.

Tim Roth was the one who came up with the idea who seems to make both parties involved happy. Tim Roth is a great British actor who became famous after moving to the United States and playing different roles in American movies. With his unbelievable ability to perfectly imitate the American accent, Tim Roth is also known for being a Tarantino favorite. His name has been associated with the controversial world of brostitutes and brostitution due to the mock documentary he created on this subject. He is nowadays the leading actor in the Fox TV series called “Lie to Me”.

Roth’s take on an otherwise moral issue taking over society is still a controversy. Although brostitution is not a part of society (yet), this critique towards the way we live nowadays seems to be hinting at some not so underlying social phenomenon. Money, even more so now than ever before, moves the world. The wealthy are capable of buying friends with “tokens of appreciation” and when lonely, they no longer seem to be alone. Their wallets make for great personalities, it seems so. Though the moral issue in brositution has nothing to do withs sexual favors, the joke still makes you wonder whether there are such unhappy people willing to pay for the company of a rental friend.

Could paying for the company of your favorite “bro” end up being such a high-demand commodity as generic Viagra these days? I sure can’t live without my monthly fix of the blue pill, nor could my wife. But a man who needs to hire friends to keep him company would really care about a pill that can help him stand proud? Who knows. Call the boys, and buy them a round. Or is that brostitution?
