Do you remember your childhood crushes? Those where the days! The prettiest girl in school always choose another guy to go to the dance with or she would simply avoid laying her eyes on you. Ah, the never ending tragedy of first love. If you take a moment to think about the girls you were once “in love” with, you will see that one’s first love, appeared very early in life. There must have been a girl you liked in kindergarten, and with whom you particularly enjoyed to share your toys. And so the story repeats itself throughout elementary and high school years. As specialists point out, individuals are attracted by the other sex as soon as they acknowledge it. With a scientific explanation at hand telling us why childhood crushes exist in the first place, let’s take a look at the golden years of love.

Many individuals however remember their childhood crushes with a smile on their face. While back then an “I like you but you don’t like me back” situation could mean the end of the world as we knew it, time went by and the whole situation comes to you as a funny love story. Not only discovering the first loves is a very intense experience, but it is also a part of discovering yourself and basically growing up. Falling in love as a child, often taken as a joke by the parents, is serious for those who get involved in this type of relationship. And don’t even get me started on first kisses, holding hands and touching for the first time. Those memories will remain forever. We believe that the intensity of first love is what makes childhood crushes such a big deal.

As a grown up, love is carried to a whole new level. If you ask me, adult love is by far less fun than the earlier days of fast heart beats. After a certain age, adults take on a more serious approach towards love. When compared, love then and love now differ so much that complicated relationships and love seems too much of a hazel to go through. While love is serious business, keeping all the fun and lightheartedness of crushes and falling in love can make those heartbreaking memories less harder to tackle. Moreover, try thinking about your strategies to catch the attention of that perfect girl from school and how you tried to get her love. You had no generic Viagra, but you had your charm. Perhaps no grown up girl wants a school boy for a romance, but you sure can get back to the very basic things of pure love. Because we are certain that every single childhood crush you had carries a special, funny and amazing story and first love played an important role in you becoming an adult, make your love life a bit more childish and a less stiff and grown up.
