Generic Viagra and Prostate Cancer

A lot of people have come to see generic Viagra as a miracle medicine, but it’s not as if it can cure cancer, or can it? No it can’t, but it can help to subside a certain collateral effect that can be brought about by a type of cancer. We are talking about prostate cancer and erectile dysfunction here. While prostate cancer is not necessarily a direct cause of impotence, the different treatments for it may indeed leave a once potent man suffering from temporal or permanent erectile dysfunction. As with many, if not all, of the conditions that lead to impotence, this can be treated using generic Viagra with great success.

So how come former prostate cancer patients may become generic Viagra users? Well, some treatments for prostate cancer may include having the entire prostate surgically removed, ration therapy, cryosurgery and hormone therapy. All of these procedures affect a delicate area that is located very close to the male sexual organ, and some of them will cause impotence to some degree right after they are performed, whether they are successful or not. The problem is that whereas the ability to achieve erections may return after a while, it may also not come back at all. Of course, I am by no means trying to put any of these treatments down, quite the contrary, it is very reassuring to know that science is able to deal with such a serious problem as prostate cancer, even if there is a price to pay. I, for one, would choose impotence over cancer any day of the week.

Fortunately, there is no need to choose, thanks to another medical wonder called generic Viagra. According to the Cleveland Clinic (which is considered one of the top four hospitals of the United States of America), up to 70% who have had their nerves spared on both sides of the prostate after surgery will be able to achieve erections again by using oral ED drugs, and from 50% to 60% of radiation therapy patients will also respond well following the same impotence treatment. As we all know, generic Viagra is in fact an oral treatment for erectile dysfunction, one that has been proven to be highly effective regardless of the general cause of impotence. Plus, swallowing a little generic Viagra blue pill sounds a lot better than the other alternatives, which may range from injections to the penis to vacuum constriction and a placing a suppository inside the penis.
