Male Etiquette Rules
There are certain rules that are unspoken yet very much present and in use. A list of men’s restroom etiquette guidelines is one of them. What urinal to take, how to go about eye contact, how long should it take you to use the restroom; all basic restroom etiquette. Some points may vary from place to place or from teller to teller. But we read a couple of blog posts and watched a funny video on the subject and here is what we found:
Rule # 1: Distance
Always leave an empty urinal between yourself and whoever else is using the urinal. If this is not possible, use an empty stall.
Rule # 2: Wall-staring
Worst case scenario you HAVE to pee next to someone. Rule says you are not to make eye contact with anyone. Staring at the tile in the wall in front of you is the only right thing to do.
Rule # 3: No talking
Enter, pee, shake (don’t play), zip up, wash your hands and leave. There really is no place for small talk while in the men’s restroom.
Rule # 4: Flushing
Always flush, always.
Rule # 5: Closeness
To the urinal, that’s it. This avoids other from being tempted to look.
Rule #6: Targeting
Aim at the center of the bowl. No one wants to step on someone else’s pee.
Rule # 7: No Play
The well known rule of shaking, not playing. Shaking your hose more than three times to get the excess liquid off breaks the rule.
Rule #8: Hand washing
Simple. Wash your hands before you get out the door.
Rule # 9: Noise Free Environment
No pleasurable or disgusting sounds in the public restroom. Period.
So there you have it. Got any other rules you want to add?
