People lie on these sites; that is a fact.

So, speed dating doesn’t sound that bad, compared to the other alternatives. The perks of speed dating? Simple. With speed dating you get to see the person for what she is, you don’t have to waste a lot of time in pointless and long dates with people you don’t like, and intentions on both parts are very clear. You are there to meet people.

Regardless of the negative preconceived ideas about those who go on speed dates, participants are usually attractive people who simply have little time to get their social and romantic life going. Most young professionals these days have busy schedules and focus on making their careers take off. Hence, modern society has found a way to provide a social environment for those with little minutes to spare.

Nowadays, most of us end up looking for whatever fills our needs the fastest in order to keep up with the fast pace of our lives. Because time is so precious in our society, we buy online and order in food; we get generic Viagra and have carry-on offices in our cell phones. We speed date and go on web-cam dates with our significant others.

Speed dating gives participants the chance of eliminating those that are not suitable and asking blunt direct questions to the people they find interesting or attractive. No hidden agendas and a chance to see people for who they are without having to linger for too long in case it doesn’t work out are some of the advantages of speed dating.
