Tan Line Obsession

Every summer, women across the globe have the same problem. Simultaneously, men across the world notice something pleasurable that they may have missed during winter months. Of course, this thing can only be tan lines. Of all the differences between the sexes, none is greater or more universal than the love and hate relationship people have with tan lines. This debate is one that has been going on for many years and shows no signs of a coming agreement. For a man or woman to understand the issue completely, he or she should take a look at both sides of the argument.

First, the opinions of women should be understood by the men. For most women, a perfect tan should be the same hue across the whole body. However, sunbathing in the nude is not an option at most national beaches and even the nude beaches can be creepy for a woman to visit. Therefore, in the process of tanning, many women end up with areas that are lighter where they are forced to wear a bikini or other form of beach wear. These lighter areas are the source of major frustration and embarrassment for the women. They would like to have the perfect tan, but the conventions of society prevent them from reaching this goal. Also, these untanned areas obviously attract attention as they stand out on a woman’s body, creating focal points where a woman least wants them. Some women have found solutions by visiting tanning salons or using spray tanners, but there are difficulties involved with both. Tanning salons can be downright dangerous if used improperly and the sprays often last for only a limited time. Thus, the only option is to find a place to sunbathe nude and take steps to make sure the tan is even over the whole body.

On the other hand, a man’s opinion of tan lines is quite different. While a small number of men prefer an even tan, the vast majority love seeing a woman with prominent tan lines. The reason for this preference is quite simple. Tan lines are extremely sexy. Seeing a woman with a bare midriff or other clothing that only allows the man to see a part of the tan line increases his curiosity and arousal and makes him want to see the whole package. Also, when a man sees a naked woman with a complete and even tan, it can actually look strange. The tan can appear like a second set of clothes, making the woman seem to be less nude, even though she is wearing no clothes. For this reason, the existence of tan lines creates a feeling that the man is seeing the woman completely nude.

Tan lines are essentially sexy because they draw attention to areas of the body that men universally find pleasing, the breasts, rear end, and groin area. When a man sees a clothed woman with a tan line, his attention immediately goes to these areas and follows the remaining tan lines hidden under her clothes – instant generic Viagra effect. The debate for and against tan lines is a constant source of friction between men and women, but that is not necessarily a bad thing.
