Obesity has been known to trigger a lot of health-related complications. Both psychologically and physically, being overweight hinders regular human development and social interaction. Obese persons have a tendency to suffer more health problems than regular weight people. These are more physically challenged to perform certain tasks and are restricted in many ways including movement, health, clothing, self-esteem and so on. Obese people are also target of mockery and insults from others who do not understand their condition. Obesity shortens life span and makes people self conscious and depressed. Not being able to do the same things other people do, obese subjects feel impaired to have normal lives and are many times segregated.

Continents like Europe and America have shown a significant and terrifying increase in the percentage of obese population. Life styles that suffer from lack of time and constant rushing go to fast food diets for a quick fix concerning children’s meals and the parents’ as well. Perpetuating this kind of behaviour translates into children repeating the same patterns with their own children in the future, continuing with the ever-growing wave of obese population around the globe.

Perceived at some point as an external sign of wealth and acquisitive power, full figured role models have been replaced by extreme opposites in modern age. What was once seen as lush today strikes out as a degenerating state of excess. Everyone has a say in this whole obesity phenomenon; yet little has been done to prevent future generations from growing fat right from the start.

If well informed about the possible complications being overweight can bring into your life, we wish to help out by creating a conscience in a few readers who will in kind pass on the new acquired knowledge. Here is why being fat does not pay off:

  • Health-related issues. There are endless health issues related to and triggered by obesity. From shortness of breath to heart problems and mobility issues, being overweight is hazardous to your health. The human body is built to last, but it is also supposed to be kept in shape for top function. Consider the human body a car. Cars can stand sea breeze if well kept and maintained, and yet, it will eventually rust because metal and sea water don’t mix well. Your body is exactly the same. if well kept through exercise and healthy eating habits, it will last in optimum conditions for years. However, when mistreated with overweight and fatty foods, systems start collapsing and things just start getting rusty. Your life span is shortened, your quality of life decreases and your psychological well-being starts being affected by the hostile environment produced around this issue.

Among the side effects obesity has in people, erectile dysfunction has been closely related to this condition and it is said obesity is one of the main causes of erectile dysfunction. Obesity indirectly causes erectile dysfunction by complicating and reducing the blood flow bulk in the body. The heavier a person is, the harder the heart has to work to pump blood through the whole body. Picture the effort the heart has to do to pump all that localized blood when a man has an erection. Add a couple of clogged arteries and this person body will be in a lot of trouble trying to pump, pump, pump. Because there is not enough blood coming into the penis, erections are soft or non-existent.  Chances of getting and maintaining an erection are almost impossible.

Not all overweight people have severe erectile dysfunction though. According to a study conducted in Italy, erectile dysfunction in obese men is not psychologically triggered (meaning self-esteem and related issues are not the main cause for ED). It was established that poor physical condition was the main cause triggering ED. High blood pressure and low testosterone levels were pointed as the main causes for ED to take place.

Having the generic Viagra approach already very much present as an effective alternative, men suffering from obesity do have a chance to revert the damage done and improve their sexual health. As said by many, sex is what brings joy to life, it is great exercise and improves our mood, physical appearance and mental state. Even when the obvious answer is finding a specialist to help us lose that excess weight in a controlled and healthy manner, it is important to have in mind that options are out there.
