Think Of Sex Much?
Whoever said men use their brains every seven seconds to think about sex regularly remains anonymous. However, certain scientific studies like the Kinsey Report on sexual behavior in the human male, state that half of men in the study think of sex on a daily and regular basis. Being this report reliant on the feedback provided by men themselves, these kinds of studies are true eye-openers about the long admonished sex obsession men are supposed to have.
But in a day and age where everything and everyone has to do with sex, are sex-thinking men really to blame? Advertisement campaigns have certainly made their money out of the seven-second rule, or made it more likely to happen, to say the least. Really. Is it possible to see a football game, beer commercial or advertisement billboards without the sight of boo, thigh or tanned belly button? Everything from apple juice, to alcoholic beverages, movies, clothes, cars, construction projects to banking and hospital services; most ads are likely to have some version of female form luring male watchers.
However, men happen to be only part of the audience the media is after. Women too are the target of fierce commercial campaigns. Instead of presenting them with hot-looking men, females too have been known to respond to women: the never ending competition within the gender seems to have produced a hefty revenue for multimillion dollar companies. Hence the overwhelming presence of sexy looking women and female forms all over and beyond. Apparently men and women react to some of the same things.
Other studies suggest that men in fact think of sex often; however, the way researchers have been referring to and cataloging the different phenomena is what might be changing. Some might be fervent thinkers of sexual enhancement pills like generic Viagra, penis pumps and that kind of thing; others could be obsessed with improving their body image. Issues men have concerning sex are truly endless. Yet, it is the way men think about sex what researchers now are focusing on. No longer are these sexual thoughts referred to as fantasies but as thoughts.
Sexual thoughts actually cover a broader field in which all things go. Forget about sticking to the naughty nurse or highschool girl outfit thing. No. Sexual thoughts of men cover everything from being aroused by the hard nipples on the girl that just passed right by you to more disturbed thoughts including pedophilia and fetishism.
Apparently, these kinds of thoughts are normal to have, and though not necesarily carried out, most people fall into these practices. Of course there is a big gap between thinking and acting on said thoughts. Should you find yourself delving into carrying one of these “sexual thoughts”, maybe you’ve gone a bit too far and should consult with a shrink. But for now, it is somewhat okay to go about your little mental escapades.
