Tripping Sex
You found yourself sitting on your bed, arms crossed and a big question mark above your head. You’ve done everything right. You bought the lube she likes, you got super ribbed condoms; you even dressed the bed with the good sheets just for her (and a little bit for you as well). You got prepared and chilled wine, while you set the mood with candles and got a little extra oomph from that generic Viagra you purchased last week. And even with all of that, you both still reminisce about the time you went to the Caribbean on vacation. What gives?
Easy. For couples, sex (as good as it may be) becomes part of a ‘routine’ they follow on a regular basis. Remember all that hot sex at the beginning of the relationship? Wild places and even wilder ideas. You can always get that feeling back, and for most couples it is by getting away together on vacation. Men wonder many times why is it that their girlfriends aren’t as hot as they are, every day of every week. Unlike men, women are unable to detach their feelings from their sexual needs and therefore having too much stress at work, being concerned about a loved one or having a deadline coming up soon are all some of the things that keep their minds busy. This busy bee complex sometimes takes away from them and they end up having what we could call ‘regular’ sex or no sex at all.
Whereas in vacation, women are simply relaxed. They are not on a schedule; there is no to-do list to complete. Vacations are all about having a nice cocktail and relaxing by the nearest glittering pool or sea side. And so the sex freak in her awakens. Some couples say they go for wilder sex in unthinkable locations more often while on vacation than they do on a daily basis. The idea of being away from home makes inhibitions disappear and adopting a careless, free-spirited attitude becomes much easier.
Being in a different place, away from your every day makes that time new; new is exciting and renewing. When people find themselves in a new environment, it is like starting from scratch, and therefore, the possibilities ahead are endless. The simple fact of being away is an aphrodisiac in itself. Besides, going away to an exotic location like a beach increases that sexy mood you’ve been building up since the moment you stepped into the airport. Beaches are hot places, where people walk around sweaty and wearing close to nothing all day. When at the beach not only are you in this whole oily skin & bikini parade, but thousands of others are as well. So you are surrounded by others that, like yourself, are oozing sensuality.
Routine sex is to be blamed on no one. Truth is us humans get used to things and incorporate them into our everyday in order to get all things done in time. If sex at home is no longer cutting-edge, you can always bring a little bit of vacation into your home. Make a batch of nice pina coladas, pour yourselves a couple of tall glasses and have a day by the pool together. No pool? Make those pina coladas into a nice red wine and take a bath together. Nothing like sharing bubbles in candle light to set a romantic mood.
