The wedding is perhaps one of the most important events in a couple’s lives. Brides get carried away with all the planning, the extra flare, the brides maids’ dresses. But what role do men play in all of this madness? Wedding planning for men is as important as it is for women. Planning a wedding as a couple can be a challenge; decisions must be made and limits need to be set. The whole event is not an individually organized show. In our opinion, men have a place amidst the wedding planning scene and it is a pretty big one. Read more about what you should take care of when planning your wedding. It is your big moment too – you want things to come out right and live up to your expectations.
Many men get overwhelmed by all the activities planning a wedding means and therefore many try different excuses to get out of this situation. Many of these individuals trust their beloved with handling everything and some of them regret it later. As skillful as some brides-to-be are, planning the dream wedding can make budgets scale up to the equivalent of a small country’s earnings. Most women dream of the day of their wedding since a very young age – what Disney and the “forever after” utopia have done to our women is beyond therapy. Making it perfect doesn’t cut it; a wedding has to be p-e-r-f-e-c-t. And the P word means money. Then in comes the man, trying to stretch a small budget into the perfect wedding. Budgeting is perhaps the most important responsibility men have to undertake when assisting their girlfriends in planning their wedding. This job is perfect for men because they can see the entire event from another perspective and can guide their wives towards pleasing but equally affordable choices.
Some men however do not want to get involved in the whole budgeting process. No one said it was easy, and budgeting a wedding can be time-consuming. But from the experience of many couples, we can tell you that this is the moment to step up. Not saying anything at the right time may cause serious damage to your relationship. Yet, if you want to speak up and get involved do it carefully. After all, the bride is the main planner and you might hurt her feelings. In this type of situation, you must be firm and get involved in the decisions that are taken in order to make sure your wedding party goes as planned.
Wedding planning has become a profitable business and the man’s job is to avoid getting into the traps that come with this matter. Making yourself useful in terms of wedding budgeting could save you a few more bucks for your honeymoon, or an extra pack of generic Viagra.
