Viagra is an erectile dysfunction medication prescribed by doctors to patients who have a permanent form of ED and are not able to have erections.
The drug is used as a veritable treatment, sometimes for younger males, while most of the time for elderly gentlemen. Erectile dysfunction is a condition that usually occurs in a man’s 60s or later, but there have been many other cases where the pattern was different. Some men show signs of erectile dysfunction in their 50s, while the truly unlucky ones have to live with it from their 40s.
Erectile dysfunction can be treated with Viagra, but cannot be completely cured. The only way in which a complete rehabilitation of the genital area can be made is if the erectile dysfunction was only a temporary problem. However, this doesn’t usually mean that the patient will be prescribed drugs to overcome the situation.
Viagra contains sildenafil citrate and other chemical elements that are able to produce an increased blood flow in the body. It was first developed as medicine for hypertension and angina, and is still prescribed as such to this. But due to its properties, it is able to dilate the blood vessels, which makes more of the life fluid reach the genital area.
Once this region is reached, the drug’s effect is to reduce muscle tension and finally create the means for an erection. With the desired effect achieved, the man will be able to have intercourse. Viagra has a simple, yet very effective way of functioning and does what has promised.
The medication is a veritable treatment and should be regarded with seriousness by anyone interested in taking it. Immediate benefits can be seen after taking Viagra, no more than 30 minutes. The drug helps alleviate any self-esteem problems of men that encounter ED sometime in their life.

Erectile dysfunction can stem from any number of things including stress, neurological problems in the genital area and simply older age. When a person has diabetes this can also have a significant effect on maintaining an erection. In this case medications may be able to help. In fact men who have diabetes have a much greater chance of developing erectile dysfunction than men who do not have diabetes because of the difference in blood flow that occurs within the bodies of these men. This includes the blood flow to the penis. Poor blood flow to the penis can not only lead to a man not being able to sustain an erection but to a man not being able to even have one in the first place. In regards to this, diabetes can amplify the effect of erectile dysfunction many times over and makes it considerably more difficult to perform sexually without Help. In addition to this, those who have diabetes and do not take measures to control their symptoms can cause damage to nerves within the body including those within the penis. Other damage diabetes can cause includes damage to the organs through the increased risk of heart and artery diseases.
Many people that have diabetes can also have blood and artery diseases that can restrict blood flow to the body and in turn, the penis. Some pills works to help remedy this restricted blood flow as it can cause men suffering from diabetes to also suffer from erectile dysfunction as well. Viagra can be a safe addition to make life easier for those with diabetes suffering from ED.
