In the stock market of dating and relationships, there are certain things that will make you increase your market value and others that will simply make your stock plummet. Being good at handling your portfolio to make it generate more profit that Casanova himself requires some work; but perhaps not as much as you think it does. Remember: making it big in the dating market means big personality, great confidence and drive to find what really works for you. Whether you are 20 or 60, all women want is a confident man who knows how to sweep them off of their feet. And great sex, of course – why else would pharmaceutical companies come up with generic Viagra?
So, perhaps some men have it cut for them. It might be easier to go through life looking like George Clooney than Homer Simpson – specially with the whole yellow skin Homer has going on for himself. Seriously, now, the average man does not have to suffer from endless weekends alone with his PS3 and a bowl of chips. Though great time-passers, Family Guy marathons and Star Wars Collector’s Extended Version DVDs should have their time and place, not your calendar’s every single open slot.
Never overrated, is sex appeal. Sex appeal has nothing to do with how giving Nature was about your gene pool; sex appeal has to do with flare, personality and self-confidence. Needless to say, hot-looking men with great personalities and sex appeal make up for that 1% of the population we secretly hate. In any case, sex appeal can make even the shortest, chubbiest and baldest man one heck of a catch to the eyes of women. Go figure, girls are more driven by personality than by looks! The rest of us mortals with less than perfect abs actually have a chance with women.
Sex appeal has to perfectly combine with social skills. They go hand in hand; what is the point of having great sex appeal when you can’t share it with the rest of the world? Great social skills are not always about being the soul of the party. Sometimes it’s about being able to listen to what other people say, encouraging conversation and asking people’s opinions about a given subject. Social skills are all about a worldly view of things: the more you know about current events, the more people you’ll be able to talk to. And I’m not only talking about politics and saving the planet; movies, current trends and other updated topics are also great ways to connect with people – plus, they are less intimidating and make you seem hip and relaxed.
Of course, being fit helps drawing women to you. As I said before, good-looking men with cool personalities and a worldly view are pretty much all that and then some. Even when you are sporting a beer belly, or are finally letting your bald spot out for the world to see, there are tons of stuff you can do to make your body look better. Not only does portraying yourself in a better way will make you feel good, it will also draw people’s eyes to you and want to get to know you – and by people I mean women and the ocassional gay guy on the prawl. Besides looking better and portraying a more confident look, your health will be equally benefited, making your charming self last longer for more fortunate “people” to see.
