New Girlfriend; New Lie Detector
You’ve been there, man. You carry around that stupid laugh plastered on your face all over. You secretly wish you could be with her more; you get nervous when you go out on a date, even though you try to be cool and disinterested. You are living the dream, baby! You are starting a new relationship from scratch; plus, she’s hotter and cooler than your last girlfriend. Yes, new girlfriends can be so awesome and exciting. It’s almost as if you were meant for each other, as if no past had ever existed. But wait! It has. And what do you know about it?
Truth be told here, her past is something you don’t really want to know much about. However, being the big mouths that we men are, there is a male trend to be more honest than our lady counterparts when it comes to discussing previous relationships. At least, we provide them with enough material so that they are at ease. But how about you? Are you aware of the little lies new girlfriends tell? Some are okay, but how aware should you be? You do hide your generic Viagra from her, though. Food for thought. Anyway, here are three things women lie about when starting a new relationship.
No matter how you roll, your girl is bound to meet your friends. And boy, did she love them the very first time she met them! Wow, it was unbelievable. Now, there are a couple of issues about girlfriends and friends. At first sight and during first encounters, your girlfriend might seem to get along with everyone just fine. However, be warned she might be putting on her best game face for them. Women are certainly not dumb about this; they know your friends are probably the toughest crowd she’ll have to face after her in-laws. However, her pearly whites being present at every beer-drinking game party do not put your friends and her in “perfect life” heaven just yet.
Dating is all about knowing each other. Watch out for sudden up-beat interests. Being too keen on something you like should send off a sign of warning. New girlfriends often times appear more interested than they really are on one of your hobbies or interests to appear more attractive to you. In time, this devotion drops and true colors are shown. Give her credit though; she is trying to validate the relationship.
Last but not least, the dreaded number – number as in how many sex partners she’s been with. One way or another we have all asked the question or been faced with wide-open, wondering eyes that hope you say a one figure number. As your relationship progresses, disclosing more private information about your personal lives will become natural. Part of the process of getting to know each other, sex and previous partners are bound to make the conversation table. Why would a girl lie about her number? Easy. If her number is higher than yours, she’ll be afraid you consider her sluty. Sadly, experienced women are often perceived as floozies instead of skillful – not at all like men, really. If her number is significantly smaller than yours, she might plump the number of men she’s been with. After all, women have an ego too and being inexperienced in the sex field is more a turn off than a turn on.
